Obviously, Dubai government is paying for more PR using doctored photos, as they are nearly bankrupt, in hopes of resurrecting enough interest to borrow from international banks, the $12 billion due on their massive debt. Many of their projects have been suspended, including the Trump Tower in your lineup above. The freehold properties hyped in your photos are in freefall. Having lived in Dubai for 10 years, no one but a fool would buy a seat on the Titanic at this point, even if you could get the financing. All that glitters is not gold……….

Sweeping layoffs have hit. Many foreigners, counting on an endless boom, purchased homes and cars on huge amounts of credit. Debtors in Dubai can go to prison, according to the NY Times, and people are abandoning the country in droves, leaving their heavily financed cars in airport parking lots (again according to the Times).
